Celebrate the Holidays with This New Wes Anderson Short Film : Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Grand Budapest Hotel) is no stranger to lending his unique point-of-view to various advertising campaigns over the years, directing fun little short films for everyone from Prada to American Express. Now he's back with a four-minute short for H&M titled "Come Together," starring Adrien Brody, who's appeared in multiple Wes Anderson movies to date. In the short, inspired by the John Lennon tune, Brody plays a train conductor named Ralph who's tasked with alerting passengers in his car that due to bad weather their arrival will be delayed nearly 12 hours, making it so everyone will miss the Christmas holiday. Set in London during World War II, the 1971 musical fantasy mixed live action and animation, much like Mary Poppins and Pete's Dragon. With a remake of Pete's Dragon already out and a Mary Poppins sequel on its way, Smith says the time is right for a new version of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, which followed three orphan children and a friendly witch (Angela Lansbury). It's based on five books written by Philip Reeve set in a far distant, post-apocalyptic world where a few young people battle an ambitious man's dastardly plans. Now comes word via Deadline that Universal has already set December 14, 2018 as the release date for the movie.
